When it comes to technological investments, customer service, and plant upgrades, our core philosophy is to operate aggressively. Yet, we are extremely conservative from a financial standpoint. Our main priority to keep SEC healthy takes precedence over paying out shareholder dividends; therefore, the standard schools of thought regarding optimum capital structure do not apply. In conclusion, SEC has remained debt-free since our inception in 1985.
We keep not only our bank debt at a zero balance, but also pay our Accounts Payable balance to zero on the 15th and 30th of each month. This brings us excellent supplier relationships with the largest suppliers in our industry. Furthermore, it directly aligns our interests with those suppliers by allowing us limitless access to the best technical sources in the industry.
